Tadhg Ó hAnnracháin selected as Co-Editor of Proceedings of the Royal Academy: Archaeology, Culture, History, Literature
Professor Tadhg Ó hAnnracháin has been selected to become the next co-editor of Proceedings of the Royal Academy: Archaeology, Culture, History, Literature. Published by the Royal Irish Academy, the Proceedings is an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journal dating back to 1841 which welcomes original research papers, primarily in the fields of History and Archaeology, but also in Celtic Studies, Literature and other aspects of culture, including material culture, from the perspectives of other disciplines. At intervals, the journal publishes special themed issues such as Domestic Life in Ireland (Vol. 111), Food and Drink in Ireland (Vol. 115) and Climate and Society in Ireland (Vol. 120). The paper volume of the journal is published annually but articles are published immediately online after they have passed the peer-review process and the final proofs have been approved by the author and editors. Professor Ó hAnnracháin has been a member of the editorial board since 2016 and he will replace Professor James Kelly (DCU) to work as co-editor with the archaeologist Dr Tomás Ó Carragáin (UCC).
